Reach out and touch someone -- Coupons and promotions on your cell phone

It's lunchtime, and you can't decide what to have today. So you take a stroll outside, just to see what looks good at the various restaurants in the neighborhood. As you're walking along, browsing at the different menus displayed in the front of each restaurant, you get a notification signal on your mobile phone. It's the newly opened bistro on the corner, asking you if you want to receive a coupon and a menu. You respond with a Yes, and the files are sent straight to your phone. There's a full menu and a coupon for a free appetizer with your entree. Lunch sounds good -- let's give it a try. You've just taken part in a Bluetooth Marketing campaign.

So, aside from the funny name, what exactly is Bluetooth Marketing? How does it work? And what does this mean for the average consumer?

Most mobile phone shoppers have probably heard of Bluetooth by now. It's a standard feature on almost every new cell phone sold today, as well as many laptops and desktop computers. One of the more common uses for Bluetooth is to connect to a hands-free headset, but it can actually do a whole lot more. Bluetooth is really just a way for various devices to connect to each other and share information without the need for wires. So, with Bluetooth, your cell phone could also connect to your computer to synchronize your contacts list, transfer songs and ringtones, even upload those pictures you just took with your camera phone. What's more, if your friend also has a Bluetooth phone, you could easily send them your pictures, songs, videos, games, or other files stored in your phone, all without having to worry about having the right cables to connect.

So, what does this have to do with marketing? Well, through some clever use of technology, companies are now using Bluetooth to send their latest promotions to the mobile phone -- that ubiquitous device that almost everyone uses and carries with them at all times. How does it work?

A small, Bluetooth enabled file server, specially configured for this purpose, is mounted in a busy location. The server will continuously scan the area for Bluetooth enabled devices as they come within range (up to 100 meters). When found, it sends the user a message asking if they wish to receive the advertiser's content. This could be a coupon, a video, Java game or any other multimedia file. If the user responds with a Yes, the file is sent automatically. If they respond with a No, the server logs this decision, and will not ask the same user again the next time they come within range. This so called "blacklisting" feature ensures that users are not continuously bothered with requests to download things they don't want.

And, in contrast to SMS or text messaging, there is never a charge to send or receive files via Bluetooth. What's more, since files don't pass through any cellular carriers, Bluetooth Marketing works even where there is no cell signal, such as subway stations or other "dead" zones.

So what are the benefits and pitfalls, both for prospective businesses looking for a new and unique way to connect with their customers, and for consumers, who may view advertising on their cell phones as a sort of invasion of privacy?

For advertisers, Bluetooth Marketing allows them to send their promotions to people for very little cost. Aside from the initial purchase of the equipment, Bluetooth Marketing campaigns are essentially free to run. Because files sent by Bluetooth are free, it would not matter if a company sent 10 promotions or 10,000. More importantly, users who choose to accept the message inevitably take the time to look at it. This differentiates Bluetooth marketing from other types of advertising, which goes largely ignored by the target group. Advertisers also have the opportunity to market their products and services based on the proximity of the consumer. For example, restaurants can send coupons to people as they walk by; movie theaters can send video trailers of new releases to people standing in line, etc. What better time to send promotions to customers than when they are physically close?

Of course, from the point of view of the consumer, there may be fears that this technology may raise some privacy issues. Would people be spammed with ads they don't want as they're walking down the street? Will advertisers be able to record their cell phone numbers and use it for marketing purposes? And what if someone doesn't want to receive this kind of marketing -- ever?

In fact, the technology does incorporate ways to resolve these issues. Again, Bluetooth servers must always get permission first from users before any content is sent. And if the user refuses, the software remembers this, and will not ask again in the future. This ensures that only people wishing to receive content will get it -- a benefit to both advertiser and consumer. Also, personally identifiable information is never collected by the system. The server only detects each phone's MAC address, a unique hardware ID, but nothing else. It cannot collect phone numbers or any personal information from any user. People needn't be afraid that their private information is being compromised in any way. And, of course, users can always choose to never participate in any Bluetooth campaign by simply setting their Bluetooth to "invisible", so they won't be found in the first place.

Bluetooth Marketing has been popular in Europe for several years now, and is only now beginning to catch on in the United States. Besides just coupons and promotions, stores can get creative and offer free games or songs to reward customers, companies could use this technology to distribute bulletins to employees, or professionals can use Bluetooth to send business cards to potential clients, ensuring that they always have their correct contact details handy. The possibilities are vast. So the next time you're walking down the street and you get an unexpected message on your phone asking if you want a free cappuccino, just say Yes, and look around you. You may not have noticed the cafe on the corner, but they noticed you!

Personalized Party Favors For Your Childs Birthday Party?

When children have parties, you should get party favors for the birthday. Like other parties, guests that come to the birthday expect to receive some type of party favor. When buying the party favors for both adults and children or just for the kids, sending a special party favor home is nice. It is a way of saying thanks. It's a sign of appreciation. Of course not to mention that it is good manners.

How much should it cost?

If you are giving a party for you little one, you should think about many different things. First, are the personalized party favor for your child's friends or will they go to the adults that attend? if you are giving them to adults, consider using a small statue, a picture frame where you can insert the child's photograph into it. Or, imagine a candle with a cute theme. Giving a gift to your adult party goers should be done. When you give favor is should be worth the money, especially when you buy them in bulk form. When purchasing favor you don't need to spend alot, but if you need to, go ahead.

On the other hand, when giving a party favor to your child's friends, try to get everyone fun things. A minuscule goody bag is great when its filled with kid safe things. If you are going to add things don't go crazy on the candy but many party places will provide very small toys, cute games and great add ons to include with the favor. The kids will enjoy getting a gift from your child too.

When planning a small get together with your brother and sisters and other members of your family you you might not need a party favor. If you are throwing a extraordinary party, then consider one. This should be for the kids first birthday or possibly their fifth. when giving a large party where there might be a large population coming, then a party favor no matter what the age is essential, at least for proper manners.

Five Undiscovered California National Parks

Summertime is a busy travel time and it seems everywhere you go it's crowded. Instead of heading to the beach or Yosemite along with everyone else, try heading to one of the many beautiful and crowd-free California National Parks.

Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon Less busy than Yellowstone, Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon are two separate National Parks managed as one, which means you only have to pay one entrance fee for the both of them.

Sequoia National Park truly is an undiscovered California treasure.

In the park you'll find the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree in the world; Mount Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous United States; the second-largest road-free wilderness area in the United States, and Crescent Meadow, a Sequoia-rimmed meadow called the "gem of the Sierra" by John Muir.

Channel Islands National Park Each island has its own endemic plants and animals, leading the Channel Islands to often be called California's Galapagos. Over 2,000 species of plants and animals can be found within the park, which consists of five of the eight Channel Islands along the southern California coast from Point Conception near Santa Barbara to just north of Los Angeles. The park is lightly visited, never crowded and beautiful year-round. Fall is the best time to visit this California National Park though, because blue and humpback whales can be seen migrating.

Death Valley National Park Home to one of the starkest landscapes in California, Death Valley is a geological wonder filled with exposed rock and sparse vegetation. With 3.4 million acres, Death Valley is the largest National Park in the contiguous U.S. The 18-mile drive from Furnace Creek to Badwater is a must, along the drive you'll see fantastic salt formations, colorful views and the lowest place in the western hemisphere.

Mount Shasta According to John Muir the beauty of Mount Shasta turned his blood to wine. Located in Northern California, Mount Shasta is the largest volcanic peak in the contiguous U.S., a towering mountain with one of the highest base-to-summit rises in the world.

Snowcapped Mt. Shasta has pristine mountain lakes and rivers, majestic forests, and miles of backcountry to explore plus plenty of skiing, snowboarding, fishing, golfing, mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking.

Joshua Tree National Park Located in south eastern California, Joshua Tree National Park includes two deserts, each with an ecosystem whose characteristics are determined primarily by elevation. This California National Park gets its name from the unique looking Joshua tree which can be found in the higher, slightly cooler Mojave Desert.

The geologically unique landscape of the area features hills of bare rock, broken up into loose bolder, making the area huge for rock climbing and scrambling enthusiasts. Barker Dam, Keys View, which offers views of the Coachella Valley and Salton Sea, bird watching, and Hidden Valley (not the salad dressing) are all must-sees of the Joshua Tree National Park.

Gold The Celebrity Of The Metal World

The most iconic precious metal of all time, gold is a valuable and widely used metal for jewellery, currency, computer parts, dentistry, satellites and various other applications.

Gold occurs naturally as nuggets or grains in rock; in fact the gold nugget is an iconic symbol of frontier America when prospectors would pan for gold, sifting through rivers and streams for traces of a gold mine. Gold gets its chemical symbol Au from the latin aurum which means glowing dawn, due to its distinctive yellow metallic glow. The purity of gold is measured in carats, with 24 carats being pure, though this was originally for measuring the weight of the gold. Merchants from the Middle East would weigh items with carob beans and this is still used for gems.

Gold is known for its practicality. It is very malleable meaning that it can be made into various shapes with relative ease; it conducts heat and electricity (this being a reason for its use in electronic components) and does not react to most corrosive chemicals which makes it better for jewellery. It also forms alloys easily, allowing other properties to be found and the colour to be changed. One such alloy, platinum with gold, makes white gold which has become massively popular in jewellery, because it has the elegance and stature of gold while being new and distinct

Gold is so malleable that it has been used as thread in clothing, wiring in computers, in dentistry for crowns and bridges and even actual gold teeth. It is used on satellites and astronauts visors because of its reflective properties. Gold flakes are even used in expensive gourmet dishes is come countries. It has no taste and is merely a delicacy and status symbol, thought some people believe that gold has medicinal properties. The symbolism of gold as a token of wealth has been used throughout history; the negative of golden pocket watches in Communist propaganda and the positive of gold cards or golden tickets employed by credit card companies and promotional marketing. It has been used by civilisations all over the world to decorate religious artefacts and temples. This contributes to the steadfast place that gold holds in our society as a symbol and a practical tool, giving it a permanent place in our history.

How To Cheat In A Computer Game

The definition of a cheat is pretty easy to figure out. If you have an affair with someone other than your lover, you can be called a cheat. If you copy answers from another person during an exam, you can also be called a cheat. In sports, if you try to win or get an advantage by disregarding the rules you are cheating but in computer games this definition become hard to follow. Taking advantage or lying to your fellow game players does not automatically mean you are cheating.

Cheating in a computer game is defined by the game and the people who are playing it.A lot of computer games come with a cheat code. This is usually to help a person get started and makes the game a little easier. They are usually designed for a single player. If you use these cheat codes you are cheating technically but it doesnt mean you have an advantage.

The most common occurrence of cheating is when there are multiplayer and mass multiplayer games through the internet. In this instance, the players are not known to each other so they dont have the restrictive influence of being seen by their opponents.

There are two main areas of cheating in computer games. You can change your settings through the use of exploits, bugs and external software or cheesing.

If you alter your computer settings, the layout of the computers hardware or the computer game to fit your gaming style you are cheating in a sense and this can be alright. But if you went even further and changed the brightness or the color of the screen in order to see better in shadow areas it becomes questionable.

Exploits are termed as errors in the game itself that give an advantage to one person or another. If someone deliberately uses those it a game, it could be considered cheating but it also could add to the excitement of the game.

There are software programs you can purchase that modify a program that runs computer game. This is a more serious form of cheating. Other software programs study the status of the game through the computers RAM

Another form of cheating is called cheesing. This is when the players do things that cannot happen in real life or are not allowed in real life.

The most common of game cheats these days find ways to change the games software. Even if the game developers try to encrypt or protect the files, there are software programs that will be able to change the games code without changing the main program. Cheats of this kind may be detected using programs that are installed on a server.

Preventing computer game cheaters is not easy. There are a lot of grey areas to agree on and consider before you term someone a cheat.

From Baby to Teen

You've done your job as a parent, right? You fed your child when he or she was a baby, changed those diapers, spent numerous sleepless nights taking care of your baby. You wiped that runny nose, warmed the bottle, sanitized the house, and did all you could to care for and protect your baby.

Then the baby became a toddler. You kissed the boo boos. You wiped away the tears. You child proofed the entire house to protect him or her from harm. You did all that you could to keep your toddler safe.

Then came the grammar school age. Again, you watched out for your child. You always knew where your child was and who he or she was with. You monitored your child because you wanted to keep your child safe. You were being a very good parent.

Then came the teen years and your teen gets a driver's license. You teen stills needs you to watch out for him or her because your teen still doesn't have the maturity to make all the right decisions. As a responsible parent, you need to do all you can to protect your teen. It is not an invasion of privacy to monitor and know the whereabouts of your teen. It is being a good parent. That is why all parents need to consider installing a GPS Tracking unit in their teens automobile. GPS tracking helps parents with the peace of mind of knowing that their teens are safe.

Automobile accidents are the leading cause of death of teens with over one-third a direct result of speed related issues. Teen drivers killed in a motor vehicle accident had a youth passenger 45% of the time with 53% of these teen deaths occurring on the weekend. Do everything that you can to ensure that your teen is not one of those terrible statistics. Install a GPS Tracking unit in your teen's vehicle now!

Advantages of Online MLM

When I started on my quest to make money in Network Marketing I began my journey doing Offline Networking with a company called Herbalife. Herbalife sells health and weight loss products for people who are overweight and out of shape. This was my first venture with network marketing, although I had heard of it before. I had gotten a little direct mail piece about them, read over it and got excited. So I immediately sent off for the rest of the materials that were required. Once I got everything rolling I realized that selling health products and dealing with overweight women weren't exactly my cup of tea and eventually I ended up quitting.

The next Offline Network Marketing experience I had was with a company called Quixtar. I went about my quest trying to build this big downline as I had done with Herbalife. My experience with this company was better because I could identify more with the concept, but I grew weary of going to all the meetings and constantly having to hound people about signing up. Needless to say I quit again.

After having quit two offline network marketing companies I began to realize that I hated approaching people and going to all of those corny meetings. I still saw the potential and power of Networking, but I hoped and preferred for a way to do it entirely from my home without having to leave . This is when I discovered On-Line Network Marketing!

With On-Line Network Marketing you don't have to deal with the traditional hassles of an Offline MLM business. You never have to leave the home unless you choose to, you can reach a wider range of people with a couple of clicks of a button. And to add to this there are tools you can use to totally put your business on autopilot. Tools such as autoresponders, list builders, email, signature links and autosubmitters.

This is what makes doing business online so much more efficient and less time consuming than what is offered in Offline/Traditional Network Marketing. The only drawback I see in Online Networking is the some times robotic nature of a cyberspace environment. You'll really never get to meet the people you do business with as well as probably never speaking with them on the phone. In my eyes these are very small drawbacks when compared to the drawbacks I mentioned concerning Traditional Networking.

If you are considering an On-Line Network Marketing business because of the benefits I mentioned, I would say some basic things to look for when choosing are:

1. Good customer/client support systems including telephone numbers, instant chat support, fast and consistent email response.

2. Easy duplication of marketing techniques

3. Ability to automate different marketing tasks

4. Compensation plan suitable to your needs

5. Solid company business history and longevity.

The ideas listed within this article show the benefits of On-Line Network Marketing vs. the drawbacks of Traditional Networking as well as supplying some basic things to look for in choosing an On-Line Networking opportunity.

Payday Loans What You Must Know!

Sometimes when things become a little tough, we do things without too much thought. Usually because we want to put the tough thing behind us and move on. This can result in jumping in on payday loans and regretting it later. Payday loans aren't all that evil as long as you know what you're getting into and you take some time thinking about actually doing it and how you'll later terminate the loan.

To begin with, payday loans arent always a good choice! Dont get tricked by the ads from the mall, radio, television or Internet. Even if you desperately need some cash until your payday, you should consider all the alternatives first. In my opinion, a brief definition for payday loans is expensive cash.

Payday loans are short-term cash loans. The amount of money that can be borrowed regularly ranges from $100 to $1,000, and it depends on the laws of each state. The average term is about two weeks. Payday loans are made by check cashers, finance companies, payday loan stores, and others. They are also designated as cash advance loans, check advance loans, deferred deposit check loans or post-dated check loans.

This is how it usually works: the borrower writes a personal check for the sum borrowed plus a fee and he receives the amount he or she wishes minus the fee. Fees are regularly a percentage of the value of the check, but they can also be a fixed value charged per a specific amount (like $15 for each $100 borrowed). When the next payday comes, the borrower can redeem the check for cash. Otherwise, he can pay the finance charge again and roll the loan for another two weeks.

To get an idea of how expensive payday loans are, you must know that this type of loan costs on average 470% APR (annual interest), while the APR a credit card is rarely higher than 60%.

Lets assume you want to make a payday loan for the amount of $300, the loan fee is of $17.50 per $100, and the loan term is 14 days. Therefore, in order to redeem the check you have to pay $352.50 when the 14 day period is over. You can pay it by cash or you can allow the check to be deposited at the back. If you still dont have this money, you must pay the fee of $52.50 to renew the loan for another loan period. This means that borrowing $300 for a month will cost you $105. Thats not cheap at all! By comparison, a $300 cash advance on an average credit card, repaid in one month, would not cost you more than $15.

All you need to get a payday loan is an open bank account and a steady source of income. However, lenders are not necessarily interested to find out if the borrower can afford to repay the loan. If you dont pay the loan, it becomes an uncovered check in your bank account. If you fail to repay it, you will get a bounced check fee from the lender and from the bank. You will receive negative ratings on specialized databases and because of this you might lose your bank account and have difficulty in opening a new one.

Because of the very high cost to borrow and the short repayment terms, the consumers sometimes tend to be trapped in repeat borrowing cycles. Reports show that almost 60% of all loans made every day are either loan renewals, or loans taken out by the same consumer immediately after paying off the last one.

Payday loans with three-digit interest rate are prohibited in twelve states in the USA, where they are considered to be small loans or usury caps.

The internet payday lending has become very popular lately. You can apply online and loans are directly deposited into your bank account. When the payday comes, the amount of money youve borrowed is electronically withdrawn. If you choose to renew the payday loan, the finance charge is electronically withdrawn from your account.

Here is a suggestion in order to avoid getting a payday loan. First of all, shop carefully! If you really need that money, try to get an advance on pay from your employer or borrow the money from family or friends, at least you can do this for free (usually). Figure your daily and monthly expenditures, and try to avoid unnecessary purchases. You should also build some saving, so that there will be no need to borrow money for unexpected expenses or emergencies. If you still decide you want to use a payday loan, make sure you dont borrow more than you can pay with your next paycheck.

How To Purchase A Scooter For An Elderly Parent

Purchasing a scooter is a big decision. One, which you will much appreciate when the process is completed so lets learn a bit more about buying a scooter for your parent. Purchasing a scooter will involve determining the weight of the scooter, the ease in folding or taking the scooter apart, and the ease in handling and driving.

What To Look For In The Wheels

The wheels of a scooter are important, because if they are not functioning, not working, one will not be able to use the scooter at all. Look for a solid wheel, so that flat tires are never an issue. Look for tires that balance the scooter, there is nothing worse than a rocking feeling while driving along in the store. A scooter that feel safe, solid and secure is going to give the rider more confidence in driving anywhere.

Does The Rider Require Safety Features For Driving On The Road?

Allowing mobility for a person is a gift of life that will be treasured. If you are purchasing a scooter that will allow a person to get to the store, the park or to visit friends, you want to be sure of road safety features. Headlights are one safety feature you should be aware of. Headlights will make the rider more noticeable.

Also, look for bright colored side panels that do not blend in with the color of the road or the color of the background. A bright colored side panel is going to be an additional safety feature that will prevent accidents while making others aware of the rider on the scooter.

Features For The Driver On The Go

Purchasing a scooter for an elderly friend or parent will also allow that person to shop for their selves. In purchasing a scooter, you need to look at the basket features, and the sidesaddle bag features. The rider will want to take items with them or make purchases while riding. Being able to store items on the scooter is vital to using it more often and without hassle. Look for a stable, sturdy basket, and additional storage containers when purchasing a scooter.

Analyze The Costs Before You Buy A Boat

Owning a boat costs much more over time than the actual purchase and the fuel to run the boat. There are two types of costs associated with owning a boat: one-time costs like the actual purchase, titling and outfitting of the boat and ongoing costs like fuel, insurance, maintenance and docking.

When you purchase a boat, the first decision is to buy new or used. Used boats obviously cost less but may have fewer features and more wear than a new boat. Additionally, new boats often come with warranties. Buying a boat is similar to buying a car and shopping around for the best deal and the best financing can save you a lot of money up front. If you're buying a new boat, dealers often charge a "commissioning" fee to cover the installation of any special equipment, tuning the engine and other post-purchase items. You will also have to pay sales tax and some states have a personal property tax that must be paid on boats over a certain size.

Most boat owners a responsible about budgeting for the initial purchase and outfitting of their boats, but underestimate the ongoing costs, which are the bulk of the costs of owning a boat. Insurance is the most important of these costs and the most complex. Getting quotes from several companies will ensure you get the best rate. Also, agents that specialize in boat insurance will be able to help you understand any language specific to boats that you may not be familiar with.

Dockage is another ongoing cost, unless you are lucky enough to own waterfront property. Slip fees vary by size and amenities offered. For example, in San Diego a slip with water and electricity for a 32-foot boat costs around $300 per month. Many boat owners also do not realize that if they want to tie up at a different marina or dock than their own that there may be a docking fee.

Maintenance is such a persistent ongoing cost that it has become almost a joke among boat owners. Before you purchase your boat, you should study the owner's manual and the manufacturer's website to get an accurate idea of yearly maintenance costs. Maintenance costs include more than just engine maintenance. Consider the costs of replacing sun-faded fabric, hull painting and sail replacement as well.

Finally, you need to estimate gas costs. Many a novice boat owner has been tripped up by assuming that gasoline costs the same at a marina as it does at the gas station. However, gas costs are marinas are significantly higher than at the gas pump. Visit a few marinas to get a sense of what boat gas actually costs.

Car Accident Compensation

Legal Claim UK is a national network of specialist personal injury solicitors operating nationwide throughout the United Kingdom who offer free car accident compensation advice. If you have been injured in an accident within the last three years that wasnt your fault you should contact us. You will receive a complete professional service from lawyers who specialise in claiming damages for personal injury.

Obtaining damages for personal injury can be a daunting task especially if youre not familiar with the procedures. If you have suffered a personal injury in an accident within the last three years that was not your fault you can usually make a claim from against the other driver involved. Most drivers are insured and a claim is effectively made against the insurers however a significant percentage of drivers are uninsured and in these cases a claim must be made to the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) which is a fund set up to compensate the victims of uninsured or untraced drivers. The MIB has complex technical rules and these cases should always be supervised by a solicitor to ensure that the opportunity to claim is not lost due to an inadvertent breach of the MIB rules.

To claim damages you need to be able to prove that the collision was not your fault and that someone else was responsible. That means that it is necessary to prove negligence. In simple terms negligence is a failure to take reasonable care for the safety of others. Even if a driver is partly to blame it is still possible to claim against the other party using the doctrine of contributory negligence. This means that if the accident was 30% your fault, then any damages that would otherwise have been paid by the other drivers insurers on a full liability basis are reduced by 30%. This type of arrangement does of course open the door for the other driver to claim 30% of his full liability damages against your insurers.

Certain classes of claimant can never be held to contribute including passengers who will always recover damages in full not withstanding that it may have been their own driver who was at fault. One spouse will often be able to claim car accident compensation against their husband or wife if they are injured in an accident caused by their drivers negligence. Degrees of family relationship are irrelevant when considering compensation for negligence.

Notwithstanding that car accident compensation claims are commonplace there are large numbers of solicitors who deal with them as only part of their workload and could not by any stretch of the imagination be said to be experts. Our solicitors deal exclusively in accident claims involving personal injury and many of them deal only in road traffic claims. Whilst almost any firm of solicitors will take on one of these claims it might no be your best bet to use someone who is not engaged in this work full time. We can guarantee you that your case will be handled by a specialist who is a member of the Law Society panel of personal injury experts and is also a member of The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Our solicitors all have a track record of many years successful claims settlements and your case will be in safe experienced hands.

Compensation that can be claimed is divided into two categories;

Special Damages represents compensation for items that can be calculated accurately and includes lost wages, medical expenses, damaged property and general expenses.

General Damages represents compensation for items that in the main must be assessed by a Judge and include pain and suffering for the injury, damages for loss of a desirable life style and loss of opportunity on the open labour market in the future.

The assessment of damages for pain and suffering is a matter of great difficulty. Money can never adequately compensate for physical injury however Judges use the wisdom of previously decided cases and are guided by a publication from 'The Judicial Studies Board' which sets of the basic figures applicable for various types of injury. Awards made by Judges may also be subject to appeal to a higher court if one party finds the award unsatisfactory.

Bush sent North Korea $55 Million, but Wanta $4.5 Trillion still not turned over to American people

Michael C. Cottrell, treasurer for the Wanta financial group set to repatriate $4.5 trillion into the U.S. economy, said he received documented inside information the Bush administration sent North Korea $55 million the day after it set off a nuclear testing device.

Cottrell's announcement Thursday came as a shock to the world since it previously was thought the U.S. was strongly opposed to North Korea's actions, publicly denouncing the nuclear testing and indicating strong financial sanctions should be imposed.

However, the transfer of money to North Korea, taken from the offshore and off-the books account earmarked for Ambassador Leo Wanta and the American people, shows the real behind the scenes intentions of the Bush administration.

Although publicly the Bush administration castigates North Korean officials for their actions, behind the scenes the $55 million pay off is proof positive the Bush administration is working hand-in-glove with countries like North Korea to promote war--ot stop it.

"It looks kind of strange, doesn't it," said Cottrell Thursday while appearing as a guest on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal at www.gcnlive.com and www.arcticbeacon.com "We have it from credible sources that $55 million was transferred from the offshore money to North Korea the day after the nuclear testing took place."

Although Cottrell would not speculate on the Bush administration motives while having solid evidence the money was released, other researchers close to the North Korean scene said the $55 million amounts to nothing more than "a pay-off for a job well done."

Cottrell's announcement also provided more evidence the Bush administration was involved in treasonous and duplicitous actions, demonstrating the interests of the American people, as well as its security and stability, were not really Bush's first priority.

"Who are the real controllers and who Bush owes his first allegiance we are not sure, but one thing we are sure of it is not the American people," added Cottrell, who appeared on the show to talk about how the Bush administration has again failed to release the Wanta $4.5 trillion as previously agreed upon.

Concerning the $4.5 trillion earmarked for the American people now sitting in a New York Citibank account, Cottrell said the Bush administration failed to release the money again on Wednesday, causing him to go public with further allegations of that the U.S. officials are violating the rule of law and misusing the Wanta money while not honoring it's financial commitment to Wanta.

"One thing for sure, the money will be eventually released and we have word from the Chinese that if Bush doesn't live up to his agreement with Wanta, then the Chinese are going to pay us," said Cottrell, adding $1.6 trillion in taxes will be paid to the U.S. Treasury and $270 billion in taxes to the state of Virginia.

Cottrell said the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board was having "a hard time swallowing" the big chunk of cash because it appears their goal is bring America to its financial knees by extending the official U.S. debt bubble to $10 trillion instead of trying to revitalize the economy.

"We've had to make a deal once the money is released to pay the taxes off in $20 billion dollar chunks," added Cottrell who couldn't give a firm date on when he expected to see the $4.5 trillion but hinted something big was going to happen within the next two weeks.

Asked what was the real importance of the Wanta story, he said it clearly showed how the Bush administration has violated the rule of law by not honoring its financial commitments, demonstrating the administration was more concerned with lining the pockets of global banksters and "privateers" with trillions of dollars instead of doing the right thing by enforcing offshore tax payments and stabilizing the American economy.

Cottrell added that since President Reagan passed Executive Order 12333, the last three presidential administrations have illegally used offshore money for their own nefarious purposes without paying U.S. taxes to the tune of more than $100 trillion dollars.

He also said the thievery continues on a large scale, including the illegal use of the $4.5 trillion earmarked for Wanta.

"Instead of the U.S. officials honoring the Wanta agreement and the rule of law entered into last May, we have caught them using the money illegally and filling financial holes to cover their tracks," said Cottrell.

As background, Wanta has been at odds with the powers that be ever since he was declared legal trustor of more than $27.5 trillion accumulated as a result of his financial efforts on behalf of President Ronald Reagan to destabilize the Russian currency at the end of the Cold War. Wanta negotiated a settlement with the Federal Governemt to return $4.5 trillion for the benefit of the U.S. economy.

Besides the $4.5 trillion supposedly earmarked for the American people with $1.6 trillion to be paid in federal taxes, Wanta's shocking testimony opens the door to the devious way the last three presidential administrations have been bilking the American people out of trillions of dollars, using the "off the books offshore" money for covert purposes, including funding to the New World/Illuminati's quest to destroy America socially, economically and politically.

Recently, The International Currency Review of England, one of the few outlets covering the Wanta story, issued a news release about the status of the $4.5 trillion, including numerous violations of law by U.S authorities as well as a list of banks affiliated with the Wanta money.

Here are pertinent excerpts of the Currency Review's release:

"For the past month or so, Ambassador Leo Emil Wanta the Principal and Trustor of the original $27.5+ trillion (now, with accruals, worth in excess of $70 trillion) raised from 200+ international banks in accordance with President Reagan's instructions to finance the 'post-Cold War' security regime has refrained from public statements concerning the US authorities' defaults on their formal Settlement undertakings, which provided for $4.5 trillion to be made available for the use of the Ambassador and his Virginia-based corporation for taxable US project operations."

TRILLIONS OF U.S. OFFICIAL SECURITIES IN DEFAULT

"As of 26th October, more than $4.275 trillion of US Treasury securities and Federal Reserve Notes (FRNs) were reported to be in default in several European financial centres, including London. Whatever band-aid arrangements have been made to mask these massive defaults believed to include round-robin trades out of Birmingham [UK], Germany and India, crudely disguised with the assistance of a large Japanese institution, and back again to the United Kingdom legal action is known to have been taken in the US court system against the Federal Reserve in respect of certain of these defaulted transactions. The 'Full Faith and Credit of the United States' means that when US official securities are redeemed, the United States will provide cash against the redeemed paper. This pledge can no longer be relied upon."

"** Now, with these defaults on financial market transactions, the 'Full Faith and Credit of the United States' has been shown to be non-existent."

LIST OF BANKS WITH WANTA BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS

The global institutions which must disgorge Ambassador Wanta's funds, or which have handled transactions for him and his Title 18, Section 6 USG corporations contracted to the US Government, or which have banking relationships with the Ambassador and his corporations, include, but are not necessarily confined to, the following organizations:

Coping With Early Menopause Symptoms

There are several factors that may contribute to a woman experiencing early menopause (menopause before the age of 45), which include premature ovarian failure, surgery, cancer treatment, viral infections, thyroid disease and many others. No matter what the case may be, hearing that youre going through menopause years before you were expecting to enter this transition can be very scary and intimidating, leaving you with many unanswered questions.

Its so very important to realize that you can and will continue to be the same person youre not going to suddenly transform into an old lady, so dont allow your mind to believe you will. You may be feeling like youre less attractive or less desirable, but when these feelings of inadequacy pop into your head, remind yourself that youre still a young woman and all that comes with it. Youre beautiful, sexy, capable and strong. Yes, your reproductive system isnt what it was, but keep in mind that youre much more than eggs and fallopian tubes youre a woman with so very much to offer.

Symptoms of early menopause can be uncomfortable, but fortunately there are many remedies that reduce and eliminate the discomforts of early menopause. Just as with menopause in an older woman, younger women experiencing early menopause will notice physical symptoms, such as:

Irregular periods
Infertility
Hot flashes
Night sweats
Vaginal dryness
Insomnia or disrupted sleep
Weight gain (especially around your mid-section)

In addition to the physical symptoms of early menopause, women may also notice some changes in their emotional state, as well. Its not unusual to experience the following:

Irritability
Mood swings
Lowered libido
Difficulty concentrating
Confusion
Fatigue

Coping with symptoms of early menopause can be emotionally difficult. Fortunately, lifestyle changes and other remedies can significantly reduce the physical symptoms of early menopause. Once youve conquered the physical signs its quite likely that youll begin to feel like your old self again and, as a result, youll become more optimistic and emotionally healthy. This is probably why many women choose to make lifestyle changes that have proven to effectively reduce the severity of symptoms associated with early menopause, perimenopause and menopause. For instance, its extremely beneficial to avoid triggers that have been known to cause hot flashes, such as hot beverages, spicy foods, alcohol, hot weather and warm rooms.

If your sleep patterns have become disrupted, try to avoid foods and beverages that contain caffeine. Also, its a good idea to read or take a hot bath right before bed so that youre relaxed and more likely to fall into a nice sound sleep.

If you transform your diet into one that is healthy and includes fruits, vegetables and whole grains, youll notice a tremendous improvement in your overall health and just how much energy you have. Youll want to avoid saturated fats, oils and sugars, and consume approximately 1,500 milligrams of calcium, plus 400 to 800 international units of vitamin D each day. Supplements may be required to reach these amounts. If this is the case, talk with your doctor to be certain youre getting exactly the right dosages and ensure youre on your way to as easy a transition as possible.

Youll be absolutely amazed by what a regular exercise program can do to reduce and even eliminate many symptoms of early menopause. If performed correctly, exercise will protect you from conditions that are common among post-menopausal women, such as heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis. In addition to preventing these conditions, exercise will eliminate the weight gain associated with menopause and will also provide you with energy that you thought may not ever come back. Exercise has also been proven to reduce the occurrence of hot flashes.

Hormone therapy (HT) also is quite beneficial in reducing many symptoms of early menopause. Unfortunately, recent studies have shown that the risks of HT, which include heart attack, stroke and breast cancer, may outweigh the benefits. While these studies may have changed the course of HT, estrogen therapy remains the most effective treatment for many early menopause symptoms. If you have not done so already, talk with your doctor to find out if a very low dose of estrogen will provide you symptom relief.

Finally, I know that this is very difficult for you and youre likely very confused. Perhaps you were planning on having children, which may no longer be possible. Even if you werent considering a pregnancy, early menopause can be emotionally devastating. Please remember that you are young, you will remain young. You will no doubt get through this, because youve shown your strength simply by logging onto the Internet and searching for options and treatments. Youre beautiful and you have a strong resolve; I believe this and I want you to believe it too.

Susan Megge started experiencing symptoms of menopause several years ago and researched various avenues to deal with these symptoms naturally. This led to her discovery of the significant role that exercise plays in making menopause a very manageable, and even wonderful time in a woman's life. Susan Megge is the author of "Being Beautiful Beyond 40," a book dedicated to helping women to be inspired, confident and beautiful as they approach menopause. Magnum PI (Season 1) DVD Review

One of the top rated shows on the 1980s decade, Magnum, PI thrilled audiences with its exotic setting and fast-paced action. Winner of multiple Emmys and Golden Globes, the show was a mainstay in the Top 20 Nielsen Ratings. Its Vietnam flashbacks (exploring the combat experiences of the main characters) were widely lauded, and Magnum, PI is considered the first television series to give recognition to the obstacles faced by Vietnam Veterans reentering American society. The range of topics, combined with a clever wit and heightened suspense, make Magnum, PI one of the more widely appealing TV series of its era

Magnum, PI covers the life of Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck), a former Naval Intelligence officer who resigns his position in order to set up his own private investigation business in Oahu, Hawaii. Through either luck or acquaintance, he lands a job as head of security for bestselling author Robin Masters' luxurious beachfront estate. This enables Magnum to drive around in Masters' sporty flame-red Ferrari, make use of various high-tech toys, and live a life of relative ease in the estate's guest house. But Magnum constantly butts heads with estate manager Jonathan Higgins (John Hillerman), a former British military man in his own right, and one with a strict penchant for order and discipline. Despite their conflicts, Magnum and Higgins maintain a healthy friendship, while Magnum's friends Rick Wright (Larry Manetti) and T.C. Calvin (Roger E. Mosley) are forever being drawn into Magnum's dangerous investigations

The Magnum, PI DVD features a number of exciting episodes including the season premiere "Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii" in which Magnum learns of the death of his childhood friend and Navy buddy Dan Cook. Skeptical of the officially cited cause of death, Magnum launches an investigation of his own with the aid of Dan's sister Alice. Eventually, the trail leads to an old military friend from Vietnam who might possibly be involved in a smuggling operation. Meanwhile, Magnum and Alice put their own lives on the line as they discover that someone is determined to put an end to their investigation Other notable episodes from Season 1 include "No Need to Know" in which Magnum is hired to protect one of Higgins' friends from IRA assassins, and "Lest We Forget" in which a veteran of Pearl Harbor turned (Supreme Court Nominee) hires Magnum to investigate when he receives blackmail threats relating to his past

10 Major Reasons To Switch To Linux

1. It Doesn't Crash

Linux has been time-proven to be a reliable operating system. Although the desktop is not a new place for Linux, most Linux-based systems have been used as servers and embedded systems. High-visibility Web sites such as Google use Linux-based systems, but you also can find Linux inside the TiVo set-top box in many livingrooms.

Linux has proved to be so reliable and secure that it is commonly found in dedicated firewall and router systems used by high-profile companies to secure their networks. For more than ten years, it has not been uncommon for Linux systems to run for months or years without needing a single reboot.

2. Viruses Are Few and Far Between

Although it is possible to create a virus to target Linux systems, the design of the system itself makes it very difficult to become infected. A single user could cause local damage to his or her files by running a virus on his or her system; however, this would be an isolated instance rather than something could spread out of control.

In addition, virtually all Linux vendors offer free on-line security updates. The general philosophy of the Linux community has been to address possible security issues before they become a problem rather than hoping the susceptibility will go unnoticed.

3. Virtually Hardware-Independent

Linux was designed and written to be easily portable to different hardware. For the desktop user, this means that Linux has been and likely always will be the first operating system to take advantage of advances in hardware technology such as AMD's 64-bit processor chips.

4. Freedom of Choice

Linux offers freedom of choice as far as which manufacturer you purchase the software from as well as which application programs you wish to use. Being able to pick the manufacturer means you have a real choice as far as type of support you receive. Being open-source software, new manufacturers can enter the market to address customer needs.

Choice of application programs means that you can select the tools that best address your needs. For example, three popular word processors are available. All three are free and interoperate with Microsoft Word, but each offers unique advantages and disadvantages. The same is true of Web browsers.

5. Standards

Linux itself and many common applications follow open standards. This means an update on one system will not make other systems obsolete.

6. Applications, Applications, Applications

Each Linux distribution comes with hundreds and possibly thousands of application programs included. This alone can save you thousands of dollars for each desktop system you configure. Although this is a very small subset, consider that the OpenOffice.org office suite is included as well as the GIMP, a program similar to (and many people say more capable than Adobe Photoshop); Scribus, a document layout program similar to Quark Xpress; Evolution, an e-mail system equivalent to Microsoft's Outlook Express; and hundreds more.

For the more technically inclined, development tools, such as compilers for the C, C++, Ada, Fortran, Pascal and other languages, are included as well as Perl, PHP and Python interpreters. Editors and versioning tools also are included in this category.

Whether you are looking for Instant Messaging clients, backup tools or Web site development packages, they likely are all included within your base Linux distribution.

7. Interoperability

More and more computers are being connected to networks. No system would be complete if it did not include tools to allow it to interoperate with computers running other operating systems. Once again, Linux is very strong in this area.

Linux includes Samba, software that allows Linux to act as a client on a Microsoft Windows-based network. In fact, Samba includes server facilities such that you could run a Linux system as the server for a group of Linux and Windows-based client systems.

In addition, Linux includes software to network with Apple networks and Novell's Netware. NFS, the networking technology developed on UNIX systems also is included.

8. It's a Community Relationship, Not a Customer Relationship

Other operating systems are the products of single vendors. Linux, on the other hand, is openly developed, and this technology is shared among vendors. This means you become part of a community rather than a customer of a single manufacturer. Also, the supplier community easily can adjust to the needs of various user communities rather than spouting a "one size fits all" philosophy.

This means you can select a Linux vendor that appears to best address your needs and feel confident that you could switch vendors at a later time without losing your investment--both in terms of costs and learning.

9. It's Not How Big Your Processor Is...

Because of a combination of the internal design of Linux and development contributions from a diverse community, Linux tends to be more frugal in the use of computer resources. This may manifest itself in a single desktop system running faster with Linux than with another operating system, but the advantages go far beyond that. It is possible, for example, to configure a single Linux system to act as a terminal server and then use outdated hardware as what are called thin clients.

This server/thin client configuration makes it possible for older, less powerful hardware to share the resources of a single powerful system thus extending the life of older machines.

10. Linux Is Configurable

Linux is a true multi-user operating system. Each user can have his or her own individual configuration all on one computer. This includes the look of the desktop, what icons are displayed, what programs are started automatically when the user logs in and even what language the desktop is in.

And lastly no Bill schmendrick character telling you what you can and cannot do.

7 Reasons to Adopt a Child

Seven Things You Need to Adopt a Child

(1) The desire to have a child whether it is your first child or your sixth. Having a child is the most difficult job you will ever have but is also the most rewarding. This child will probably not appreciate all that you went through to adopt him/her until adulthood, but realize that biological children wont either!

(2) Which country do you wish to adopt from? Countries (even the USA) vary in their wait times, costs, availability of certain sex & age of child, etc. Do your research and then go where your heart leads you.

(3) Talk to adoptive parents. Find local support groups or message boards on the internet. (Example: Russianadoption@yahoo.com) Ask questions. Adoptive parents love to talk about their adoption journey.

(4) Read current books and articles. But, beware! Newspapers love articles that grab the readers attention! This usually means a negative story on adoption gone wrong! Please realize that for every bad story there are hundreds of happy stories.but happy stories dont sell papers.

(5) The moneysigh! Know that you will need at least $15,000 for one adoption. You will be eligible for a $10,000 tax credit, but not until after the adoption is complete. If you dont have much money saved up, dont give up hope. Studies show that most adoptive parents are not in the wealthy bracket. Most are average income earners and many are just big-hearted families with lots of love but not much money. Againthe internet is loaded with grant programs and loan ideas of adoption. If you are motivated, you will find a way. If you needed a new car or appliance youd find a way to finance one. The life of a child is much more fulfilling in the grand scheme of things.

(6) The paperworkugh! There will be stacks of papers needing to be signed and notarized. (Find a notary early on that you like to work with!) Some papers will seem ridiculous to you and many people will question your sanity as you blindly fill them out over and over! You will learn quickly that you will do what is asked for to help your child. It is all worth it in the end. Think of the paperwork as labor painsit will end and there will be a child at the end of it all!

(7) Faith! The most important thing youll need is faithand lots of it. Faith youll find the money. Faith that the right child is matched to you. Faith in a foreign country where you are the foreigner and that you must do whatever is asked of you. Many times it will be blind faith leading you to your child. But when they give that child to you and you kiss his little face, you will see the power of adoption and the choices you made creating a future for this little person, who until you came, had none. And months later when he is calling Mama and Papa and rolling in laughter on your living room floor you will know you were given the best gift in the world. A child that loves you!

Luxury Cars: Toys for the Big Boys

Luxury cars are the playthings of the rich and famous. It comes as a status symbol to drive and ride in a classy and expensive vehicle. There is a market for this affluence; otherwise no cars of this calibre are manufactured to serve the discriminating preferences of this niche. Surprising enough, demand escalates for the more expensive types and the limited production of these fine cars makes them even pricier.

Most luxury cars are hand crafted and designed with fine and comfortable trimmings. Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Benz, even Daimler and BMW have set up a luxury car segment where manufactured coupes are fine-tuned to fit owner preferences at a price that exceeds the range of normal sedans, sports coupes and SUVs.

It is extreme pricing more than technological features that set luxury cars from the regular 4-wheeled machines. These cars usually sell at a six-digit figure floor price. In a 2006 survey of luxury cars in the market, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 a European built and designed car is deemed the most expensive coupe, being retailed at $ 1,192,057 million dollars. The SSC Ultimate Aero, an American car was selling at $ 654,000 dollars; a tag price that compensates for its identity as the fastest car in its class. Giant car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz also churned out the SLR McLaren at $ 452,750 and the Maybach 62 at $ 385,250 dollars.

Before the end of year 2006, Rolls-Royce presented an extended version of the Phantom that is outfitted with bullet-proofed features and a roomy passenger cabin to provide lavish comfort and a pleasant driving experience. Such opulence would come at a whooping cost of $ 3.8 million dollars. Toyota on the other hand gave a lift to increasing environmental concerns by giving the industry a hybrid engine train for its Lexus LS 600h L, sold at $ 104,750 dollars.

The premium pricing of luxury cars is compensated by the built-in, power-packed performance features. A distinguishing feature is its power train. The Jaguar car series for example, carries on its hood a throbbing V-8 engine that delivers top-notch speed when moments call for it; an all wheel drive system that comes fully loaded and with superb handling capabilities. Additional features common to most luxury cars, the Mercedes-Benz E500 and BMW 500xi included, are the electronic stability program, digital surround-sound and hands free communication system that allows the driver use of the mobile phone from controls built into the steering wheel. Aesthetically, these luxury coupes are fitted with ergonomically designed leather seats, poplar or maple trims, wireless technology via Bluetooth, park-distance controls, electronic sensors and climate control sensors that can detect and evade pollutants like carbon monoxide and ethanol.

The Daimler Chrysler is popular for its top of the line engineering and car safety features while the Cadillac SRX has perfected the magnetic ride control, the XM satellite radio and back-seat DVD entertainment on top of superb luxury touches.

A new breed of luxury cars with superb aesthetic and aerodynamic features hits the market in 2007. This includes the diamond clad Mercedes-Benz, the all chrome BMW, the gold and diamond inlaid interior of the Maybach 57S and the gold plated Porsche Boxter in 22 karat beaten gold.

More expensive toys for the big boys, huhdefinitely!

1.Start with a Theme - Think about a baby bedding theme you would like for your nursery - Sports, animal/jungle, floral, stripes and plaids, and moon and stars are just a few of the examples you will find. Once you have a theme, you are a headed in the right direction.

2.Is our baby a boy or girl or ??? If you know your going to be having either a boy or a girl, this part should be very easy! However if you are waiting for the surprise, There are many selections listed as neutral gender so you can choose a theme that is suitable for either a boy or a girl. Some parents wait to find out the sex of their babies first and then buy there bedding choice, but why wait? choose a neutral gender baby bedding collection for your baby to be.

3.Is my Crib Bedding In Stock? Some crib bedding can take a few weeks to arrive for at your door because most bedding is a special order drop shipped from the manufacturer. However, there are many many bedding items IN STOCK and AVAILABLE TO SHIP TODAY.

4.Know Your Vendors There are at least 25 different bedding vendors, some with over 80 bedding collections in all. To learn a bit more about two of our top selling vendors Lambs & Ivy and Kids Line, see below.

Lambs & Ivy: For over 25 years, Lambs and Ivy has dedicated themselves to being in tune with the changing trends and tastes of new parents. Our Lambs & Ivy collections offer a unique combination of contemporary designs with old fashioned workmanship, personal service, and attention to detail.

Kids Line: At the core of each of Kids Line products is a commitment to design, quality, comfort and safety. Kids Lines team of designers is among the most exciting and dynamic in the baby bedding industry.

5. Accessorize! - Last but not least, you dont want to forget about the baby bedding accessories! Your baby bedding may the focal part of the room, but its the bedding accessories that bring it all together. Some main examples many parents choose for the babys room are listed below:

Hamper
Diaper Stacker
Window Valance
Musical Mobile
Wall Border
Lamp
Night Light
Rugs
Switch Plate Covers

Safety Note: You want the coziest bedding for your baby but heres what you need to know about safety. Although you may see some soft pillows or stuffed animals that look adorable with your matching set, keep them out of the crib! These and any other soft items can pose as a suffocation hazard for your baby.

You may also want to consider a sleeper or other sleep clothing as an alternative to blankets or quilts.

Hopefully this article has helped you in your search for the best bedding collection on the web. Choosing the right Baby Bedding may only be one baby step in the journey of what is to come, but remember - its all those little baby steps that get you where you want to go!

Plasma Television Buying Guide

Calculating the Correct Distance

In setting up the environment for your plasma TV, a primary consideration is to determine the screen size to match the floor plan or available space where the plasma will be displayed.

Plasma monitors are measured diagonally across the screen, just like any other television set. You can typically choose from the following sizes: 32", 40", 42", 46", 50", 61", or 63". Bigger is not always better, and a certain distance must be maintained between the plasma TV and the viewing area for optimal viewing experience. Sitting too far away diminishes the overall impact. Sitting too close, however, could also present its own problems - as when you start seeing the screen's "structure"; i.e., the dots or pixels that make up the plasma display.

In determining the appropriate TV size for you, you should also consider the space required to install the unit itself. When recessing a plasma display unit, allow at least 3 inches of open space at the top of the unit and adequate ventilation space of at least 2 inches behind it as well. Remember, too, that most plasma displays do not have built-in speakers, so you'll need to allow space enough to attach speakers.

What You Can Watch on Your Plasma TV

You can choose between HDTV (High Definition TV) and EDTV (Enhanced Definition TV) for your choice of plasma display. Which type you prefer depends on the kind of material you intend to watch on the plasma.

EDTV is the perfect entry point into digital television, with a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio and an image resolution that is 200% better than today's analog televisions. On the other hand, HDTV has up to four times the resolution and colors compared to EDTV, offering the ultimate visual and sound experience.

At present, only a limited number of programs are broadcast in true high-definition format (all major networks broadcast HD counterparts to their regular analog-signal broadcasts). In fact, if you plan to use a plasma HDTV for regular TV programming, you may be surprised to find that regular TV programming may even appear slightly worse, as the big screen exaggerates the flaws in standard TV programs. DVD images from most of the currently available DVD titles on the market today also do not fare as well on true HD plasmas. In fact, these DVD images appear better on EDTV plasma units, because the image resolution of a widescreen DVD (nominally 740 x 480) more closely matches the actual resolution (852 x 480) of the EDTV plasma display.

Why bother with a High Definition TV at all, you may ask? Because HDTV, paired with a true High-Definition or high-quality source, can produce truly stunning images. With a progressive-scan DVD player paired with, say, any of the recently released HD-DVD or forthcoming Blu-ray DVD titles (encoded in true HD format), your plasma HDTV can come to spectacular life and bring out unrivaled image quality. And as more TV programming becomes available in High-Definition format with the looming of the FCC deadline for switching to all-digital broadcasting, plasma HDTV sets will have more TV content to show. One thing's for sure: Your HDTV won't be obsolete anytime in the next few years.

Plasma TV

Specifications When comparing plasma TV sets, it's important to know what to look for to make sense of the specifications you're presented with. Below is a quick rundown on the necessary specs that you need to weigh before making that all-important purchase decision.

Resolution: Resolution is a determining factor in selecting a plasma TV. Do you want HDTV or EDTV? HDTV, with a resolution of at least 1024 x 720, is the ultimate visual and sound experience, but what is available for viewing on HD is currently restricted to a few HD channels on cable, as well as the newly emerging - and necessarily few - DVD titles from the HD-DVD and Blu-ray DVD formats. On the other hand, most of the currently available DVDs actually play better when viewed on EDTV, because the image resolution of a widescreen DVD (nominally 740 x 480) more closely matches the actual resolution (852 x 480) of the EDTV plasma display. Choosing the type of plasma TV that you want, therefore, is a question that should be considered along with the type of content you frequently watch or will be watching on your plasma.

Inputs: A plasma television should work with any existing video component with standard A/V, S-Video, or Component Video outputs. In addition, most plasma TVs have DVI or HDMI connections for use with high-definition sources. Some plasma TVs also have VGA input connections that allow them to be used as monitors for a PC. At the minimum, look for the following specifications on a plasma connection: DVI-I or DVI-D, Component, RCA or Composite, and S-Video. Take into consideration your current component set-up - such as your satellite system, cable box, DVD player, and external stereo components - and see what kind of inputs or connectors they use.

Tuner: Check your plasma to see if it is HD-ready or HD-integrated. An HD-ready plasma TV is essentially a monitor that needs an external tuner source before it can function as a TV. An HD-integrated panel has a tuner built into the set and is ready for use. If you receive your HDTV programming via cable or satellite instead of over-the-air, you may not need a tuner at all, as you will be using the set-top boxes provided by your cable/satellite service to receive HDTV programming. Check with your cable or satellite providers for more details. Some cable/satellite companies do away with set-top boxes and provide their subscribers with cable cards instead. Check with your cable/satellite provider if they provide cable cards and the cable-card type that they offer, and then check the specification on the plasma for cable card slots.

Contrast Ratio: Contrast ratio is the measurement that determines the variation between the whitest and darkest parts of the image. This is an important specification, since plasma TVs with a low contrast ratio will make dark images look muddy and gray while making light images look washed out. A good measure of contrast ratio is 1,000:1 or higher. Anything less than 1,000:1 - especially on a set that is 42" or larger - may not provide optimal viewing experience.

Brightness: Without sufficient brightness, your image will look muddy and soft - even in a dark room. Viewing distance, screen size, and ambient room light will also affect the need for more brightness capability. A brightness rating listed at 550 cd/m2 or higher is good, but don't get bogged down with the technical number listed. Instead, make sure that the screen is bright enough for your needs as you conduct your own visual inspection.

Panel Life: Look for a minimum of 60,000 hours of panel life in your plasma specifications. This is the rating on how long it would take before your panel has half the brightness compared to when it was new. A 60,000-hour spec translates to approximately 20 years of viewing at 8 hours per day. (This approximation may vary, depending on the source and type of content, settings, environment, and use of your plasma TV.)

Anti-burn-in/Pixel Shift: Burn-in refers to the remnants burned on to the screen after a static image has been left on the plasma for a long period of time. To minimize or prevent burn-in, determine if the plasma panel utilizes burn-in protection, such as power management settings, full-time picture or pixel shift (both vertical and horizontal) technologies, or automatic screensaver functions.

Speakers: If you plan to use an external surround sound system, you won't need audio speakers, but most plasma TV sets include speakers that rated anywhere from 7-12 Watts Pre-amp - which is much better than that of conventional TVs and sufficient for most viewing. Check your plasma's specifications to see if it comes with speakers and if the speakers are removable.

Universal Remote: A universal remote can take the place of having one remote, so that it controls all the various components of your TV system, such as the DVD player, audio, cable/satellite etc. If you plan on buying a universal remote, check to see if it's supported by the plasma set of your choice to make sure the plasma accepts universal remote devices.

Power Consumption: Power consumption for plasmas range from 240 watts to over 500 watts, If you're concerned with how much energy a plasma set may use, check its specifications to determine power consumption. Units tend to have higher wattage requirements as the screen increases. A good rule of thumb is to compare similar-sized units together; units with higher wattages tend to use inferior components as a rule.

Step by Step Guide On How To Order A Gorgeous Customized Lace Front Wig

A custom-made lace wig is your best bet to looking great. You can choose to have any style, colour and hair type that you prefer. It is almost like choosing your clothes and accessories for a grand event.

However, there are a few essential points you have to know to order that perfect front lace unit.

Know your head shape

Different wigs suit different head shapes. Check yours. Is your head pear-shaped, round, square, heart-shaped, oblong or oval? If you are not sure, stand in front of the mirror and take a good look at your face. Sketch what you see to help you decide. Try on dummy wigs to see what suits you best. Don't go by the modeled wigs, it may not be the best ones for you.

Measure your head

You can choose to do this on your own or get help. Get the measurement of the circumference of your head, ear to ear across the head, ear to ear across the forehead, front to nape, temple to temple round back, and the nape of neck.

Choose your hair type

Custom wigs are available in human hair, synthetic and blend of both human and synthetic. You have to decide what you prefer. This depends on your original hair texture as well. Keep it as close to the original so that it does not look like a fake. Remember, a wig can be stylish and in keeping with trends without looking unnatural.

Choose your hair style

Do you want it straight, curly, wavy, in ringlets? You can have any style you want. Go ahead and experiment.

Choose your hair colour

What's your preference? Is it blonde or black? Or do you think a hint of red will look great? You decide on this one as well.

Decide on hair densit.

This would depend on your hair length, colour and type. Normal density is between 80-100 % for a full lace wig. Especially for those suffering with hair loss you can get a wig with thick hair instead.

Choose a base for your wig

You can decide on Swiss lace or French lace with the former being more delicate and the latter more durable.

Decide on the adhesive.

This is used to attach the unit to your scalp. Choices range from glues and tapes depending on your preference.

Now that you have done all this, go ahead order your lace front unit.

The best part of custom-made wigs is that you can order multiple wigs at one go. You have the choice of creating different looks to suit different occasions. Can it get any better than that?

Automotive Batteries

Think of the battery as the heart of your car. You need a battery you can count on to get your motor running and keep it pumping all day long.

The car battery is an essential element of the intricate network that makes your car start and keeps the engine running. The battery powers most of the car's electrical components and accessory structures, such as the headlights, turn signals, fans, etc. While the alternator provides most of the electrical needs of the entire car system, the battery can keep them going in the event of an alternator malfunction.

There are many batteries available at automotive supply stores, and it's important to know exactly which model is the right choice for your car. The wrong battery won't work in your car, and it may even cause damage to the vehicle. Knowing which battery is right for your particular vehicle is extremely important, and it can also help to learn about the various battery manufacturers and automotive supply companies. You should only have to buy a battery every few years, so make sure you're buying the right one.

* Size Matters: Buying a battery for your car is like choosing a pair of shoes for you. One size does not fit all. The size of the battery itself is important, as it needs to fit snugly into the space allotted under the engine's hood. If the battery is too small there is the risk of it becoming dismantled and causing vibrations or damage. Further, the battery will either be a top post or side post model, which will determine how it fits and operates.

* Power Up: You need to know your car's specific power requirements before purchasing a car battery. Some cars need an 8-volt battery, while others require a 12-volt. There are a number of considerations to take into account, such as the size of the car and the number of accessories that must be powered. A huge sound system, for example, can easily suck the life out of an average car battery. A 12-volt battery should be able to maintain at least 7.2 volts when the vehicle is starting and while it is operational.

* Chill Out: If you live in a cold-climate area, it's important to check the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) before you buy. CCA is a measurement used to determine a battery's ability to start an engine at 0 Fahrenheit, within a 30 second period. A higher CCA rating means the battery will start your vehicle faster and more effectively in freezing weather.

* Get it in Writing: No matter how well known the manufacturer is, you need to get a written manufacturers warranty with your battery. Make sure that the battery is in original condition, and is not a recharged model. The quality and dependability of the battery you choose should be indicative of the warranty you're offered. Make sure that battery is guaranteed for the duration of the battery's life (ie: if you plan on using the battery for five years, look for a five-year warranty).

* Keep it Fresh: Whether you're buying bananas or batteries, you need to make sure they're fresh and damage-free. Just because it's a piece of car equipment, it's not OK for your battery to waste away on a stockroom shelf. Make sure that the battery you buy is produced by a known and respected manufacturer, and that it's fully charged and ready to start your car. If you're not careful, you can run the risk of purchasing a fake or recharged battery. Look on the side of a battery casing for a special label or decal. You'll find the month and year that the battery was shipped from the manufacturer's plant. The letters 'A' through 'M' represent months of the year. For example, 'A' is January and 'M' is December. The letter 'I' is not used. The numbers 1 through 9 denotes the year of manufacture. Therefore, if the sticker on your batter reads L4, you know that it was manufactured in November 2004.

A car battery provides starting power to your vehicle, so make sure it's dependable. Understand your car's requirements and know how to verify the quality of the battery before you make the final purchase.

Two Questions... Two Keys to Success in Deploying Performance Management Software

There are lots of variables and issues to address when deploying a performance management system across a small or large business. But I've found that there are two questions that are critical to your success, regardless of the size or nature of your business. I'm writing this to not only expose those questions, but help you get very clear on your answers. Ready to proceed?

1. WHAT'S THE OBJECTIVE? - This is an important one to answer in a personal and practical (not theoretical) manner. If you're like me, one way to approach this is to imagine someone else asking you, "So why are we doing this... when we are already busy?"

What would your answer be to that? You can't say, Seemed like a good idea this month, nor can you tie it directly into profit or efficiency if the listener doesn't already believe that connection. Our suggestion in responding to this question is that you tie it directly into outcomes that are easy to identify with. These are the outcomes that problems in the work process, e.g. better visibility, better coordination, less details slipping through the cracks, less cost over-runs and delays

So exactly what is your objective or your top three objectives for making a performance management system part of your business process? Believe me, not only do you need to be very clear about that, but every other person in your organization needs (you) to be clear about that as well.

Getting other people clear and enrolled in the ("your) objective means you need to make time for interaction in which they have the opportunity to see, agree and support your decision. If you get initial push-back, plan on additional interaction time in which you hear and acknowledge their perceptions, BUT don't leave until you have dismantled their objections.

Stop. Before we go any further, let's talk about how to manage objections.

Objections are usually based in a different world view that is constructed on a different set of facts or interpretation of facts than you might wish. The best way to deal with objections is to first listen and acknowledge, and then present reality based performance facts.

It's only human to minimize performance gaps, so you may need to dredge facts up to the surface. Facts that inevitably, and unmistakably point out the reality that something about how business is currently managed is not OK, is not good enough, doesn't fit with where you all want the business to go.

The truth is, utilizing performance technology , like ManagePro software, is a statement that you want/need/require things to change. If that's the case, you might as well say it point blank. Change and performance improvement is not something to dance around.

2. WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? This question and your response is the 2nd key predictor of your success. Especially when deploying performance management software across your organization to deliver well what, exactly, are you delivering?

Well that's an important question to address isn't it, maybe even before you address what the solution is worth? In fact both questions support each other and ultimately the success of deploying a new technology solution.

Your answer should contain information from the personal, customer, team interaction and process levels. The answer to this question can be simple or quite involved, with very defined costs and gains. Here are a couple of examples:

What's it worth can be defined in terms of personal satisfaction and/or reduced frustration.

It can also be defined in terms of where your time gets spent, and then again

It can be defined in terms of dollars and due dates, quality and sales metrics.

What I would like to underscore is that however you measure worth; you want to have this question resolved in your head and ready to articulate to others. To embark on a software deployment, e.g. a change process, without having a good grasp of what ultimately the outcome is worth to you and others personally, is a setup for poor results.

Do you know why I wrote that last comment? It's simply that I have found this statement to be true over and over again,

If you haven't firmly established what the value of your objective is, you'll easily get pulled away by competing priorities or pushed back by resistance from others.

Knowing the value of your objective (ex. Improved financial and quality outcomes, or a more systematic (less reactive), or a visible performance management system):

will keep you on track,

will help you avoid under-spending on resources to deploy the solution and

will keep you out of the 2/3's group that doesn't succeed at deploying software.
